Automation Engineer

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Equipment Engineering Team. You are responsible for the automation hardware and software of the Canatu production and R&D equipment. The equipment is developed and produced for both internal and customer needs.

Canatu manufactures carbon nanotube (CNT) -based transparent conductive films and free-standing CNT membranes used in automotive and semiconductor applications. Canatu CNTs are created in a reactor based on reactive gases. As the catalyst particles flow through the reactor, carbon nanotubes grow on the catalyst particles before landing on the collection filter. From there, CNTs are transferred to a plastic substrate or an open frame, forming the CNT film or free-standing membrane which can then be post-treated to enhance or modify properties. The Canatu CNT transparent conductive films are used in e.g. automotive ADAS heater and touch applications that require high optical transmittance and electrical conductivity, whereas our free-standing CNT membranes are used to enable the next step in semiconductor manufacturing. Canatu production and R&D equipment include chemical reactors that process gasses at high temperatures; characterization and measurement tools and complex automated collection lines using robots.
